Schotland Road-trip 2022

We got up a wee bit early today. Took all what we could eat with us to go and look for… Dinosaurs!!! Here on the Ilse you can actually look for prints of dinosaurs. On the beach in the north of the island. It was amazing. We saw the Dino prints, some seals and even an orca!

After that we visited the Kilt rock that had some great falls… yeah another fall… I know but they keep being amazing so we keep visiting them 😜

After that, we send for a drive along the West and South of the island

So we went along the coast… thinking to stop at a cafe to have some breakfast as we got a rather basic one in our guest house and I really like some eggs in the morning. That was out of luck. No cafe nor hotel to have breakfast at. But some stunning views instead 😍

What we DID see a lot was tourists that didn’t know how to drive… the roads at steep and small but you have a lot of places to pass each other by.

At one time a guy came to us with a BMW blue very very slick car. He was together with a few girls in the car. He needed to stop at the passing place, but didn’t and there he went, into the ditch. He couldn’t get out so I decided to put my emergency lights on as he was blocking the road and went over. He looked a bit in panic so we helpt him. The kids, Kelly and him needed to push and I would drive their car back into the road. The second try, the car was on the road again.

Oh how he was thankful 😂. We also saw some Chinese dudes with their car in the ditch but they were waiting for hours still… poor things…

Hoax number 2: circles in Fairy Glen

In fairy Glen you can see circles and rocks perfectly aligned. Nothing mystical about that… just some tourist trying to trick other tourists… however the place Fairy Glen is a must see!

Further down we went to the scene where they filmed movies such as TFG etc. I can see why

Whilst driving home we looked at a castle Dunvegan

We wanted to go to The Old Man Storr but it was dark when we got there so we decided it was time for diner. We dined where we did yesterday. The Ilses Inn and as it was great yesterday, so it was today!

After a long day and a great day, we drank a wine and called it a night… Tomorrow we are meeting Nessie and the fairy pools!!! 😘
